Boss Baby Chinese New Year Red Packet

Awwww......who wouldn't love the Boss Baby.

The animation movie was released in Singapore  by Dreamworks during March/April this year.  I wasn't intended to watch this movie initially but changed my mind the moment I was given this red packet during one of my movie going during the Chinese New Year. I cannot however remembered which show I went to... maybe it's John Wick... hmmm...

Nevertheless, when someone gives you a red packet during Chinese New Year  ( aka CNY)  

it is like bestowing Happiness and Blessings on the receivers. Normally there will be an amount of cash inside but  I am not complaining.
With Alec Baldwin playing the voice of the Boss Baby this is certainly a must watch. True enough I was not disappointed at all.

 The wordings in mandarin can be translated as .......

 " In the year of chicken, ( ya..there's this chicken years and so on but I am not going into that), I am the most fortunate and earning Big even if I lied down.... hmmm sounds funny when direct translation.. haha.

As you can see the red packet is still sealed and contains ......

WHAT !!!!    FOUR pieces of individual red packet!!!!  OMG...

I counted many times ... THERE ARE ACTUALLY 4 pieces. 

Didn't they know that the number 4 in Chinese is largely avoided in car plates and house numbers ?!  Someone should do their homework seriously.    As for me , I've got many stuffs related to the number 4 and it 's been good for me so far so I don't mind at all.

War Of the Worlds Limited Edition Cap and Shirt wear

Directed by Steven Spielberg , this 2005 action/sci-fic movie stars Tom Cruise as a very normal person ( you have to forget his Mission Impossible role ) working as a crane operator. Divorced and unable to communicate well with his son and daughter, the action start when Martians attacked Earth. Initially, I did not really like this movie because I expect alot of aliens running around zapping earthlings ( ya, I know.....Mars attack ). But after watching the second time,I appreciate it better as it shows the love of the father for his childrens.

When this movie was shown in 2005, it reminds me of the good old days when I watched the 1953 version of "The War Of The Worlds" in a public library. ..... Errr,,, no, I am not that old, the show was already a few decades old when I watched .

The picture shows a cap and a T shirt which I won during "Another" magazine contest although I cant remember whether it comes with the poster or not.

KING KONG (2005) Multi colours Watch

Directed by Academy Award winning director Peter Jackson (LOTR), this spectacular movie with solid special effects and heartpounding actions is really a joy to watch and at the same time it brings back memories of the 1976 version.

Back then of course the effects cannot be compared but still it's a classic of it's own.

I got these cute little digi watches from a joint promotion between Kellog's and Universal Studio's back then when the movie hit shores.

Surprisingly the batteries are still working and "clock's ticking" after almost 4 years :)

Charlie Angels 2 (FULL THROTTLE) Motor Bike

VOLCANO Keychain

This cute little keychain comes with some other

premiums in a VOLCANO bundle. But I couldn't

find it at this moment ( shd be hiding in some other

cartons ). The red colour lava lookalike will create

patterns within the yellow liquid if you shake the keychain.

Released in 1997, this movie is about a volcano erupting in L.A.

One of the many volcano disaster movies that was released during that year.

StarShip Troopers (1997) Mouse Pad

Adding this Starship Troopers mousepad into my collections which comes with a pair of free movie preview tickets. Also one of the best sci-fi movie that I like but subsequently the next few sequels

 was a disappointment.  However, I got a surprise just days ago before I update this post(2017).  I stumbled upon the Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars  animated version , which is a sequel to the 2012 Starship Troopers : Invasion the 4th instalment.  I would recommend you to watch it if you like sci-fic/ alien kind of movie. You will not be disappointed in this one.

In the not so soon future, mother Earth is at war with a race of giant alien insects. Not much is known about these killer Bugs except that they are intending on wiping out all human lifes.  The militia world government decided to send a Mobile Infantry troop which travels to the alien planets to take the war to the Bugs. They have only one mission: Survival of their species no matter what the cost...

popular series ALIENS.

In this 4th Instalment -

Two centuries after Ellen Ripley's death , she is being revived as a powerful human/alien hybrid clone who must continue her war against the monstrous aliens. 

In the film, which is set 200 years after the preceding installment Alien 3 (1992), Ripley is cloned and an Alien queen is surgically removed from her body. The United Systems Military hopes to breed Aliens to study and research on the spaceship USM Auriga, using human hosts kidnapped and delivered to them by a group of  mercenaries The Aliens escape their enclosures, while Ripley and the mercenaries attempt to escape and destroy the Auriga before it reaches its destination: Earth.

Alien Resurrection was released on November 26, 1997, and received mixed reviews from film critics. with one terrible comment .... "there is not a single shot in the movie to fill one with wonder", later naming it one of the worst films of 1997.   Well I beg to differ.
